Learning an instrument, especially a cool one like the guitar, supports your child’s creativity and is wonderful for your child’s confidence. Not only that but playing music can significantly impact a child’s mood and stress levels. Many studies have shown that music can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Music is a fabulous outlet for teenage angst. Just ask Sarah!
Learning a musical instrument is an all-brain exercise. Studies show music lessons speed up brain development - particularly in the areas of language development, speech, listening and reading skills. It is also good for memory and abstract reasoning. Attending regular lessons encourages your child to build on their organisational skills and regular practice helps with routine.
